The Tritton Pro+ was first introduced at E3 with fantastic feedback. Tritton has packed some impressive tech inside the Pro+. The headset contains a total of 8 screaming Neodymium drivers that require no drivers or separate AC adapter. To get started, one only has to plug the 12 ft cable attached to the headset into an open USB port and then plug directly into the computer’s onboard 5.1 soundcard. In each Pro+, the nicely padded earcups come equipped with an adjustable head rail each housing four speakers. Gamers can adjust each speaker individually to attain a perfect balance and true 5.1 audio experience. This is accomplished through a backlit controller displaying front, rear, center, and sub making adjustments a breeze.
Identical to a home theater system, this headset will feed the audio accordingly in 5.1-channel fashion delivering specific audio to each speaker individually. The 40mm sub only produces lower frequencies such as explosions while the front(30mm), rear(30mm), and center(23mm) speakers support all the mid to high range sound. We blasted our way through multiple maps on Battlefield 3 and struggled to stay alive fighting the Great Grey Wolf Sif from Dark Souls. The audio clarity is simply amazing with all 8 drivers delivering powerful sound. The Tritton Pro+ is able to duplicate the experience one would expect from a high-end home theater setup yet in the convenience of a comfortable fitting headset and at a fraction of the price. Music buffs can also detach the mic to enjoy their favorite digital music library on the go.
